April's Homeowner and Business Yards of the Month named

The Azalea Garden Club, a member of the Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter Inc., recognizes April's Homeowner and Business Yards of the Month. The yard of Cal and Kimberly Land's home at 617 Henderson St., far left, includes neatly trimmed shrubs and hedges as well as native plants. On the occasion when seasonal flowers are not in bloom, containers boasting colorful blooms are strategically placed around the home. Assured Partners Bynum Insurance, left, has an attractive sign identifying the business at 1170 Wilson Hall Road. The shrubs and grounds surrounding the sign and business are aesthetically pleasing and free of debris. Passersby see attractively manicured foliage and trees, enhancing Sumter's visual appeal.
